Monday Project Sync — Privacy Policy
Effective Oct 9, 2026 · @Xander Harms
Who we are and what this policy covers
Monday Project Sync is an internal software tool built and operated by Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical ("we", "us"). It connects our own QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time accounts to our own monday.com workspace so that job-cost figures appear on our project boards.
This policy explains what information the tool accesses, how it is used, where it is kept, and who can see it. It applies only to Monday Project Sync. It does not change the privacy policies of Intuit or monday.com, which govern those services directly.
The tool is not offered to the public and is not a product for sale. The only accounts it connects to are ones Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical owns and administers.
What the tool does
Once a night, and whenever an authorized user presses Sync, the tool reads job-cost information from QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time for each project linked to a monday.com board item, and writes summary figures to that item: contract total, revenue to date, cost by category, labor hours, and the dates of the first and last timesheet. It also shows those figures in a dashboard view inside monday.com.
The tool only reads from QuickBooks. It never creates, edits, or deletes anything in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Time.
Information the tool accesses
All of it is business data belonging to Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical. The tool accesses only what it needs to compute job costs.

To know which projects to sync and where to put the figures
Employee names may appear in QuickBooks time records. The tool uses them only to total hours and does not store them beyond the sync in progress. The tool does not access payroll amounts per employee, bank or card details, customer contact details, or any data outside the connected company file.
How the information is used
The information is used for one purpose: to calculate and display job-cost figures for Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical projects inside our monday.com workspace.
We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or analytics about individuals. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own purposes. We do not use it to train machine-learning models.
Where data is stored and how it is secured
The tool runs on monday code, monday.com's hosting platform for apps, in the United States. It keeps no database of its own.
QuickBooks access credentials (the OAuth refresh token Intuit issues when we connect) are stored in monday code's secure storage, which encrypts them at rest. They are never written to logs, never sent to a browser, and never leave the hosting environment.
API keys and secrets for QuickBooks, QuickBooks Time, and monday.com are held in monday code's secrets manager, separate from the application code.
Synced figures (the totals written to board items) live in our monday.com account, under monday.com's security controls and access permissions.
Transient data read from QuickBooks during a sync is held in memory only while that sync runs and is discarded when it finishes.
All connections to Intuit and monday.com use HTTPS. Access to the hosting environment is limited to Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical administrators. The dashboard view inside monday.com is available only to users signed in to our monday.com account, and requests to the tool are verified against a session token issued by monday.com.
Sharing and disclosure
Synced figures are visible to Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical staff who have access to the relevant monday.com board, according to the permissions we set in monday.com.
The tool necessarily passes data between the services it connects. QuickBooks data is sent to monday.com as the summary figures described above. Nothing is sent from monday.com back to QuickBooks. The hosting provider (monday.com) processes the data on our behalf as a service provider.
Beyond that, we disclose information only if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Retention and deletion
Synced figures remain on our monday.com boards for as long as we keep those boards, since they form part of our project records. They are overwritten on each sync with the current values from QuickBooks.
QuickBooks access credentials are kept only while the connection is active. Disconnecting the app (see below) invalidates them, and we remove them from secure storage.
Operational logs record that a sync ran, which project it covered, and any error, together with Intuit's transaction identifiers for traceability. Logs are retained by monday code for a limited period and then discarded. They do not contain financial figures or credentials.
Your choices
Because the tool connects only Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical accounts, the choices below belong to our administrators.
Disconnect from QuickBooks. In QuickBooks Online, go to the Apps page, find Monday Project Sync, and choose Disconnect. This revokes the tool's access immediately. Alternatively, contact us and we will disconnect it.
Remove from monday.com. Uninstall the app from our monday.com account to remove the dashboard and stop all syncing.
Delete synced figures. Clear or delete the relevant board columns or items in monday.com.
Employees whose time entries contribute to project hours may ask us what information about them the tool processes. Contact details are at the end of this policy.
Children
The tool is a business application for Wire Nuts Commercial Electrical staff. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the tool handles information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Continued use of the tool after a change means the updated policy applies.
